Common materials include carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy steel, with strength grades such as 8.8, 10.9, and 12.9. They come in a variety of sizes and models, with shoulder diameters ranging from 3mm to 20mm and lengths from 10mm to over 100mm. Surface coatings include zinc plating, nickel plating, Dacromet coating, and black anodizing to improve corrosion resistance.
